Series 3 hard drive shredders will shred most standard rotary hard drives up to 1″ thick, as well as backup tapes, cell phones, DVDs, and assorted e-scrap. Enterprise hard drives take at least twice as long to shred as standard drives, on which we base our throughput. They are slow speed, high torque dual shaft shredders made from solid steel. 

Series 3 hard drive shredders consist of two models and a choice of three shred widths. An output conveyor is a standard inclusion on our frame model, but it is substituted for an infeed conveyor on our stand models, which have a drop-down discharge. Our stand model also includes integrated fork pockets above the stand for balanced lifting because the bulk of the weight is on top.

Series 3 hard drive shredders have a variety of optional features that include an air filtration system, stainless-steel combers, fork pockets, hard drive counter, and a viewing window. All of our Series 3 hard drive shredders can be stationary or placed in trucks for mobile hard drive shredding, but you will want our stand model for the latter. It has a smaller footprint and the drop-down discharge gains you another pallet position.

Our Data Capture System is also optional, and was designed to help electronic recyclers meet R2v3 requirements. It allows the user to photograph the drive, which identifies and captures the barcodes, and then videotape the shredding process. Each step in the data destruction and cataloging process is precisely time-stamped. The system’s flexibility allows users to decide whether to utilize the Data Capture System in full, in part, or bypass it entirely.
